Ashley Simmons, MD, FACC
Dr. Ashley Simmons is the founder and CEO of CardioBra, LLC. She founded this company after many patient complaints about being uncomfortable and embarrassed to exercise for a stress test without a bra or breast support in place. She recognized the need for better ECG lead placement as well and founded CardioBra to help provide women with a comfortable and accurate stress echocardiogram.
Dr. Ashley Simmons is the founder and CEO of CardioBra, LLC. She founded this company after many patient complaints about being uncomfortable and embarrassed to exercise for a stress test without a bra or breast support in place. She recognized the need for better ECG lead placement as well and founded CardioBra to help provide women with a comfortable and accurate stress echocardiogram.
She has board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and maintains a sub-certification in cardiovascular disease. She is certified by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. She is a registered physician in vascular interpretation, as certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Dr. Simmons completed her undergraduate work at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where she received a bachelor of arts in biology. She attended Medical School at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiovascular diseases fellowship at the University of Kansas and was selected as the Chief cardiology fellow. She then stayed on at the University of Kansas Hospital as a clinical cardiologist and the medical director of The University of Kansas Hospital’s Adelaide C. Ward Women’s Heart Health Center. She practices diagnostic and consultative cardiology. She reads cardiac MRIs, cardiac CT scans, echocardiograms, peripheral vascular studies, and nuclear stress tests.
Dr. Simmons is an active participant in her community, including in her position as a medical student mentor within Delp Society, one of seven academic societies in the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She has had leadership positions in a number of community, state and national associations, and previously served as chairperson of the Heart and Stroke Alliance of Kansas. She practices yoga, enjoys running, and loves spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Chris Wilson, JD, MPH
Chris Wilson serves as Vice President of System Integration and Innovation at the University of Kansas Health System. In addition, he is the Executive Director of Centrus Health, a Clinically Integrated Network. Chris leads new care, payment, and technology model development and operations focused on value-based care delivery, population health management, digital health, and system integration. Chris oversees key strategic initiatives, start-ups, and transactions, including the launch of the University of Kansas Health Systems innovation center, iCentral, and its telehealth initiatives. Prior to joining the University of Kansas Health System, Chris was a management consultant and practicing health care attorney. Chris received his bachelors from the University of Kansas, Masters in Public Health from Boston University, and law degree from University of Colorado.

Joshua Taimoor Nana
Joshua Taimoor Nana, is happy to call Kansas City home for himself and his business. The 40-year-old is the founder and chief executive officer of MTAR. Founded over 17 years ago, MTAR produces woven and knit garments and distributes them to companies in over 27 countries. It’s no surprise then, that Nana says he lives “for adventure, travel, and studying different cultures around the world” and has visited more than 50 countries. He graduated from Tulane University with dual degrees in finance and international relations. He also has been involved with Nokero, which provides solar lamps to communities that do not have available electricity. He has also done disaster-relief work in Pakistan, as well as non-profit economic development in third-world countries to improve education and economic opportunities for women.

Laura Brady is a Managing Director with Royal Street Ventures, an early stage venture fund investing in strong entrepreneurial teams with capital efficient business models across diverse markets. Brady has a diverse background leading, managing, and transforming small-to-medium sized businesses. Prior to joining Royal Street Ventures, Brady was President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medical Positioning, Inc (MPI), a business specializing in imaging tables for the medical industry.

For five years as the Vice-President and General Manager of Wolferman’s Gourmet Foods, Brady led the Williams Foods subsidiary to substantial sales and profit growth. She began her career as an asset analyst and later portfolio analyst with the Archon Group, a Goldman Sachs real estate subsidiary in Dallas.
Brady graduated with honors from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX with a bachelor’s of arts degree in economics and earned a master’s degree in business administration from The University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and currently serves as a director for NASB Financial, Bellwethr, and Aclaimant Inc.
